It is sacred place for Hindu region followers as during exile, Lord Rama, along with wife Sita and brother Laxman, spend considerable in Chitrakoot forest area due to which this place became a sacred place for Hindus and devotees visit this place, throughout the year. Chitrakoot is located over the districts of Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh and Satna in Madhya Pradesh. Chitrakoot holds great importance according to Hindu mythology and the epic Ramayana. According to Ramayana, Chitrakoot was the place where Bharata, brother of Ram came to visit Ram and ask him to come back to Ayodhya and rule the kingdom. This is the place where Goswami Tulsidas, author of 'The Ramcharitmanas', spent many years of his life. Check out and proceed towards Naimisharanyam(90km,2 ½ hrs). Naimisharanyam is renowned from the time of Satya Yuga. Places of visit include Chakra tirtha, Vyas Gaddi, Hanuman Garhi, Pandav Kila, Dawpuri Mandir, Balaji Mandir. After lunch leave for Ayodhya(210km,4hrs). Night halt at Ayodhya.
Morning take a dip in the holy Sarayu river which finds mention in the Ramayana. Ayodhya sightseeing includes Sri Ram Janmabhoomi-the birthplace of Lord Ram-Valmiki Bhawan and Kanak Bhawan-one of the finest temple supposedly gifted to Sita by Kaikeyi immediately after her marriage. After lunch leave for Allahabad.(170km,3 ½ hrs) Night stay at Allahabad.
Early morning proceed towards Chitrakoot(140km, 4hrs). Chitrakoot is the place where Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman spent eleven and half years out of their fourteen years in exile. Sightseeing places include Ramghat-Mandakini Ashram, Gupta Godavari, Sphatik Shila-a picturesque place and Sati Anusuya Ashram dedicated to Rishi Atreya and his wife Anusuya. Night halt in Chitrakoot.
Morning, proceed towards Allahabad. Take a dip in Triveni Sangam which is the confluence of three rivers- Ganga, Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswathi river. Board 12294 Duronto at 19.30.
