Vaishno Devi is a religious trekking destination where pilgrims walk about 13 km uphill to reach the little caves which is among one of the 108 Shakti Peetha. Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani is a manifestation of Durga, a Goddess according to Hindu mythology. The trek itself is very enjoyable, though it might be a little difficult for kids and elderly people. However, ponies and palanquins are available by various vendors to take you there at the top.

Popularly known as Mata Rani, Vaishno Goddess is a manifestation of the Hindu Goddess Mahalakshmi. It is a Hindu temple situated in the Trikuta Mountains within the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is assumed that during the pooja and Aarti, Goddesses arrive at the Holy cave to pay their respect to Mata Rani. Devotees believe goddess herself calls the devotees to reach here.

This morning you will proceed for a full day excursion to Gulmarg, Meadow of Flowers(57 kms /1 ½ hr) situated at an altitude of 2730 meters, full day at leisure to take the leisurely walks on the lush green meadows of flowers with a backdrop of the snow capped mountains. Enjoy pony ride or Gondola ride (rope way at your own cost) to Khillanmarg at your own cost. Overnight in the hotel.
Today you will be transferred by road to Pahalgam (147 kms /3 1/2 hrs) Valley of Shepherds. Enroute you will have an rare opportunity to visit the Saffron fields. Also visit Avantipura Ruins & Anantnag Sulpher Springs enroute, Arrive and proceed to your hotel, rest of the day at leisure to explore the countryside and enjoy leisurely walks through the pine forest along the river Lidder, overnight at the hotel.
This morning u will proceed for Aru valley and chandanwari by car(at your own cost). Aru is small village, 11 kms upstream the Lidder River, is a beautiful locality. The route is picturesque with ample campsites. This village is the starting point for treks to the Kolahoi glacier.The most beautifulof these is the huge,undulating meadowof Baisaran,surroundedby thickly wooded forests of pine .Hajan and Beetab valley on the way to chandanwari.Overnight in the hotel.

Early morning after b/fast start the journey to Mata Vaishno Devi (13 Kms, 4 Hrs trek)Onward to Bhawan by foot or Ponies (to be arranged directly) , OR by Chopper (if you have booked tickets). After Darshan, leave by Chopper / Ponies for Katra by late evening ,overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to airport for your onward flight back home.
